Course Instructors

Cheetah PMP® Exam Coaches for the Cheetah Exam Prep® for the PMP® have extensive real world experience in project management. They all have experienced the accelerated way to pass the PMP exam and are experts in coaching people to success using this approach. We have the largest number of full time PMP exam prep coaches of any PMP Exam Prep provider. Our commitment to employ our PMP Exam Prep Coaches full time insures that our students get the individual attention they need to be successful in their pursuit of the PMP® Certification. 

Jeff Allen, PMP - Jeff, a Master Trainer, has a background in corporate, government and entrepreneurial project management areas. Highlights include developing and managing one of Compaq’s (and later HP’s) five recurring SMB marketing projects, initiating and managing California’s celebration of the Bicentennial of the U.S. Constitution, and, as an entrepreneur, pioneering the delivery of high quality, low cost legal services to the general public, thus enabling low and middle-income individuals access to legal services they would otherwise be unable to afford. Jeff lives in Utah, and loves the clear skies and beautiful scenery.
Vikram Bala, PMP has been in project management for over 12 years. Vikram has been teaching for Cheetah Learning since August 2002. He holds a Bachelors in Engineering and both an MBA and Ph.D. in Management. Vikram has also taught graduate level courses in Statistical Analysis, Decision Theory, Quantitative Techniques, Operations Research, Marketing Management, Marketing Research, and Corporate Strategy while a faculty member at various training institutions. Vikram worked as a Senior Executive for many software development and consulting organizations, and has managed projects in the areas of software, quality, human resources, recruitment, and more for over seven years.
 

Michael Swanson, PMP has been with Cheetah learning since November 2004.  He is one of our Master Trainers, and has over 20 years of Project Management and Training experience.  Having worked as a Project Manager in a number of industries, including Manufacturing, Healthcare, Information Technology, and Service, Mike brings a balance of explicit and tacit knowledge to our PMP Exam Prep Course.   Mike lives in Phoenix, and enjoys spending time with his family, scuba diving, and traveling.

 

Kelly Baumer, PMP has been in project management for nearly 20 years and holds an MBA degree from Baldwin Wallace College and is a Master Trainer. Kelly was named Project Manager of the Year in 1999 by the Northeast Ohio Chapter of PMI®, and was on the PMI Board of NEO as the VP of Membership from 2001 through 2003. Kelly's working experience includes being the PM for multi-million dollar projects that have revamped entire systems in the area of administration, billing, pricing, government deregulation, accounts receivable, and more. Kelly's experiences have been published in many of Dr. Harold Kerzner's books, including "In Search of Excellence in Project Management".
 

Ray Strano, PMP  - Ray joins Cheetah Learning from a 25 year tenure at Verizon.  Ray is a Master Trainer and certified to facilitate the Cheetah Exam Prep for the PMP Exam course, as well as the newly created CAPM® Exam Prep course. Ray's background at Verizon includes deployment of WAN, LAN and desktop products and professional services for the 2000 and 2004 Republican National Conventions, being the Senior Program Manager with Verizon for the City of Philadelphia, and in addition working with Fortune 1000 clients. Ray is a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), holding a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. Ray lives outside of Philadelphia with his wife and two daughters.

 

Heiko Feth, PMP teaches Cheetah's PM courses for our European market.   Heiko's background involves an extensive history in the PM consulting field. In addition to English, he is fluent in German and Spanish . He resides in Dorsten, Germany.

Maren Kindler, PMP teaches the Cheetah Exam Prep classes in Switzerland. Maren has been in project management for over 19 years with a proven track record in delivering business and IT projects, project management methodology and reporting. Maren has working and living experience in three countries and in-depth knowledge of building, developing and managing teams across various locations as well as leading international projects in insurance, telecom and finance companies. Recently Maren decided to work independently as project consultant and trainer. 2012 Maren joined the PMP teacher team. In addition to English, she is fluent in German and has basic knowledge in French. Maren lives in the Zürich area, Switzerland.

Peter McBride, PMP is a licensee for Cheetah covering Canada, Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Peter has been in the software consulting business since 1990. Prior to this, Peter was an accountant, narrowly escaping that career when he opened his own computer support and training practice. In addition to his PMP Certification, Peter is certified in Microsoft® software development tools, and has extensive experience in writing and managing small project database development. Until recently, McBride Consulting Group Inc. provided computer hardware and software sales and service, and networking installation and support. These days, the firm specializes in IT Project Management, and the delivery of the Cheetah Accelerated Learning system. Peter sings in a Barbershop Quartet, and considers himself very witty (he is half right!). This comic approach fits well into the Cheetah philosophy that laughter aids in the learning process. Peter is also a Rotarian, railroad hobbyist, avid wine maker, and is rebuilding his 1980 Thunderbird from the ground up. In his spare time he visits with his wife and 2 dogs, or he occasionally sleeps.
Richard McBride, PMP - After seven years in senior training and IT management roles (including direct line management and supervisory roles), Richard has moved back into independent consulting as a trainer and instructional designer, once again broadening his skills by offering Project Management certification exam preparation services (for the PMP credential) and PM development courses.  In addition Richard continues to develop specialty programs for the financial services and IT sectors, as well as for other clients.    Whether designing programs or delivering training, Richard McBride brings his diverse financial and business background, plus more than 25 years of experience in financial services, sales, management, IT and training to the platform. His clients and program participants describe him as dynamic, interesting, funny and engaging, as well as "completely committed to the success of every participant in each and every program he designs, or presentation he makes".

Gerardo Sierra  - Gerardo has worked in the PM field for more than 13 years. He is currently the PMI Mexico Chapter President and, before this, was the professional Development and Certification Vice-president of this Chapter for four consecutive years. He has trained more than 6,000 executives from various mid- and large-sized firms in Mexico and Latin America, and has been a speaker at many forums for differing industries. Starting his career in the IT field, he managed projects for some of Mexico's main companies, both public and private. Later, he decided not to apply his experience only on IT projects, but in other industries as well, such as: services, payroll, PMOs, and Methodology definitions projects. During 1997 he was invited to collaborate at the Master’s Certificate Program in Project Management of the Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM®) as the trainer for the Planning module, since then, he has also participated with this University in the Controlling Module, executive PM programs and Specialized PM programs for several organizations, both public and private. He has also worked with the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) and the Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), these three universities being amongst the first ones in Mexico. Gerardo holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Systems from Tecnologíco de Monterrey in Mexico City, and has been a certified PMP® since 2000. He lives in Mexico City with his wife, who is currently expecting a Baby for February 2007. He devotes his spare time to Bonsai and Orchids Gardening.

 

Roberto Toledo, PMP is a Cheetah licensee for Mexico and Latin America, and has been in project management for more than 12 years. Currently he is Managing Director of Alpha Consultoria SA, a training and consulting firm in the area of project management. Roberto started his career in the construction field, moving on to managing infrastructure development and information technology projects for the Mexican government. In 1996 he joined the faculty of the Continuing Education department of the Institution Tecnologico Autonamo de Mexico (ITAM), one of the leading Mexican Universities in the fields of business management and economics. He is currently director of the Master's Certificate in Project Management program, and lectures at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
