Less Can Be More

How much time do you have to prepare for the PMP® certification exam? Lonnie B. McCain, project manager and senior financial consultant, found his answer to that question becoming “less and less.” The managed application service provider he works for is extremely busy these days, so Lonnie was hard pressed to carve out time to prepare for the exam.

“The Cheetah Exam Prep® four-day class offered the targeted approach to preparation that I needed,” Lonnie explains. Four days of prep for a four-hour exam requires accelerated learning and a focused approach to get the most out of it. “The information and techniques presented in Cheetah’s exam-prep class gave me the confidence to relax and concentrate on the material. And the daily exams were invaluable – not only did they challenge our ability to recall the text, but they exposed us to hundreds of expertly crafted test questions.”

Speaking from the vantage point of hindsight, Lonnie’s recommendation for anyone thinking about pursuing the PMP certification is not to do it on your own. “Even if you have years of solid experience, you may not recognize some of the pitfalls in the exam process. I’ve taken many certification exams over the years and have never seen more artfully ambiguous questions than those used by PMI. Cheetah’s techniques helped me read through the ruse and get to the meat of the questions.”

Now that Lonnie adds “PMP” after his name and title, he’s found it translates into more respect. “The ‘PMP’ is recognized and appreciated for the education, experience and perseverance needed to acquire it,” he says. “I have the same job description and types of assignments as I had before, but I get through the work week now with much more clarity. For the busy professional, Cheetah’s exam-prep class offers a concise path to certification.”

And when you have more to do than time to do it in, “concise” is a great way to help you learn more in less time.
