The Power of One
While two heads are often better than one, there are times when one is the magic number. Like when you’re making your resolutions for the New Year. All you need is a single Post-It® note, not a blue-lined pad. If you can focus your attention on the one thing that will have the greatest impact on your life this year, you may be surprised what you can accomplish. And if you look at your resolution as a project, and treat it like one throughout the year, your team of one can be just as successful as any other project team. Here are some tips to get you started:

Cultivate an attitude of success
"Success is a state of mind. If you want success, start thinking of yourself as a success," says Dr. Joyce Brothers. It may sound simple, but many people secretly don’t believe they can accomplish something and that’s why they never even try. If you cultivate an attitude of success, success will follow.

Aim high
According to Jim Rohn, you never know what you can do if your goals inspire you. “There's no telling what you can do when you believe in them. There's no telling what will happen when you act upon them.” The power of having just one resolution gives you the room and permission to make your goal larger than life, with a corresponding impact. Small goals can be accomplished in a day. It’s the big ones that require perseverance and passion to be successful. Choose a goal that will have a great impact.
