Gaining a
Competitive Edge
Maureen Glennon Hieb wanted to gain a
competitive edge in the PM field, so she decided to
pursue her PMP® certification. As a lead
business analyst/project manager for a staffing
industry-leader in Melville, N.Y., Maureen didn’t
want to waste her time “in another boring set of
classes.”
Cheetah’s Exam Prep
for the PMP was just what she needed. “Cheetah’s
accelerated approach was completely different from
any Project Management classes I previously took,”
she explains. “Although I was initially
apprehensive, it appealed to me that I could take
and pass the test after only four days of classes.”
Once Maureen
registered for the course, she followed every piece
of advice Cheetah offered. “I read the PMBOK®
Guide – Third Edition, memorized the Memory Map
and followed the dietary advice. Everything about
Cheetah’s course was excellent.”
Especially the fact
that Maureen passed the exam the first time. “I
couldn’t have done that without taking the Cheetah
Exam Prep class and without Vikram Bala’s (Maureen’s
instructor) encouragement,” she says.
“Vikram kept us
motivated and interested throughout the class. We
never stayed on a topic too long or used the same
materials over and over. Although it was hard work,
I left class each evening energized and excited
about what we were learning rather than exhausted,”
Maureen explains.
Maureen is more confident in her PM work now that
she has her PMP certification and believes that
makes her an even better project manager. “It was
hands down the best class I ever took. I can’t wait
to take my next Cheetah class.”
