Not sure about Project Management coming to the rescue? Well, I sure am. Everything we do in life is a project and can benefit from PM skills. All the proof I need is in my personal and professional life. When I applied my PM skills to my personal and business finances, I was able to start a series of businesses – including Cheetah Learning – without loans or credit cards and turn it into a holding company that generates over $10 million in revenue yearly with a growing portfolio of real estate holdings. (In our Project Prosperity course, I teach you how to use your PM skills to become wealthy, too.) And last month, PMI named Cheetah Learning its 2008 Professional Development Provider of the Year. Now more than ever, I know that individuals and organizations can benefit from Project Management. If you need to sell the idea of PM in your organization, you'll want to read our PDU Corner article about Selling PM to Senior Executives and Project Portfolio Management. After you read this month's Know How Network article about ways you can change your world with PM, be sure to visit http://podcast.cheetahlearning.com/podcastgen/ to listen to my podcast, as well. Then read Project Management to the Rescue and Translating Project Management Skills into Opportunities to learn even more about how your PM skills can make the most of change. Don't be afraid of change. It's an opportunity waiting for you – and your Project Management know-how – to make the most of it.

If I Had to Pick the Best Tool in My PM Toolbox, I Would Pick…

There are days when you think you wouldn't have survived if it weren't for some of the PM skills you have. But if you have to choose just ONE skill from your PM toolbox that's brought you the most success, which one would it be? Click on the link above, and let us know.

The sky is NOT falling. The surest way to miss an opportunity is to get caught up in that mentality and see only the difficulties, not the opportunities. Instead, have a "can do, will prevail" attitude – and see what you can do.
