Be Sure to Put
This in Your Backpack
If
you spend a lot of time on the road,
your backpack is probably already pretty
heavy. You may not think you have room
in it for anything else. But in addition
to all the physical and intangible items
it holds, there’re probably a few
crevices you can pack with these items.
-
Smiles – Whether it’s a picture
of your family or friends, a
favorite vacation spot, or a drawing
by your favorite little kid, have
something with you that brings a
smile to your face. You never know
when you might really need one.
-
Connections – With cell phones,
texting and e-mails there’s a way to
reach almost anyone at any time.
Even if you’re four time zones away
from your partner, kids or parents,
you can still let them know you’re
thinking of them. Text a smile, send
an e-card or shoot them a photo you
took with your cell phone – maybe
you’ll pass along a smile.
-
Patience – Care to count the
many ways you can use some of that,
especially when you travel? No
matter how long the line, how
delayed your flight is, or how
“small” your full-sized rental car
just became, hang in there. Don’t
lose your cool when things get hot.
They
don’t take up much room, but these items
sure can make a big difference when you
have to spend time away from your home
base of operation. Find out more about
