How soon after the course ends do I have to take the CAPM^® exam?

You must take the exam within 3 calendar days of completing the CAPM^® Exam Prep 3-week course. The program is divided into two phases. In the first phase you register with PMI^® to take the exam, learn how to effectively prepare for the exam, set up your exam study schedule, and schedule you exam within 3 calendar days from completing the CAPM^® Exam Prep 3-week course. You can not start the second phase of the course, which is the exam prep part of the program, until you have your exam scheduled. You have three weeks to access the second phase of the course and to work with your personal CAPM^® coach. We do this because we have found many qualified people do not become a CAPM^® for the simple reason that they procrastinate. The course is set up so people can easily do the 10 to 12 hours of the exam prep work each week and after three weeks, successfully pass the CAPM^® exam.

Does the cost of the course include the cost to take PMI's CAPM Certification Exam?

No it does not include the cost of PMI^®'s CAPM^® Certification Exam.
PMI^® & Cheetah Learning are separate organizations. Cheetah Learning provides the exam prep course, but PMI^® provides the CAPM^® test.
PMI^® requires the PMI^® exam application to be completed by the individual requesting to take the CAPM^® certification exam.

What happens if I don't pass the exam?

If you are unable to pass the exam on your first try, your online coach will create a personalized study plan to help you shore up your weak areas, guide you through the process of rescheduling your exam and can also extend your online course access for an additional three weeks.
The second exam must be taken within 30 days of the first exam.
We reimburse the PMI member fee ($150 USD) to retake the exam up to two times.
This guarantee is valid only for students who have completed the entire program in the time frame stipulated and have met the requirements as outlined in the in the program details.

If I don't have 1500 hours of project management experience will this course provide the alternative of 23 hours of Project Management training?

Yes - Cheetah Learning is a PMI^® Registered Education Provider and included with your paid registration is a required 23-hour online Pre-Course that when successfully completed will satisfy the 23 contact hours of PM training as required for PMI^®'s CAPM^® Certification Eligibility Application. If you are going to use this course to satisfy the 23 contact hours of Project Management training, you must first successfully complete the course, all assignments and receive a course completion certificate PRIOR to submitting your application to PMI^®.

What is your cancellation/refund policy?

We provide very detailed outlines of what is involved with our program therefore, once someone has commenced our program, we cannot give a refund.
We do not extend the time to complete the course work, unless the student has a death in their immediate family as verified by a valid death certificate. In that situation, we let them stop studying and restart the course when they are ready. The online course is set up so people can easily fit the 10 to 12 hours of course work per week into even the busiest of schedules. This is not a course for people who are on the fence with pursuing their CAPM^® credential.

What is involved in the actual Cheetah CAPM® Exam Prep Online Program?

The Cheetah CAPM® Exam Prep Online Program is divided into two phases. The first phase is a required pre-course where you get ready to study. In the second phase of the program, you follow a three week guided self-study program where you interact with your personal CAPM^® coach, as needed, to grasp all the key concepts.

How long is the course? (Days, Total Hours, Hours Per Day, Etc.)

The online program takes four weeks to complete. The first phase is one week and is a series of pre-course activities. During the required pre-course you file your CAPM^® eligibility application, memorize the memory map for the course, set up a peak performing mind menu and exercise plan, set up your study schedule coordinated with the people who will be impacted by you studying for 10 to 12 hours for 3-weeks, and you schedule your CAPM^® exam. You have one week to do the required pre-course activities and can start the second phase of the course as soon as you complete all the pre-course activities to the satisfaction of your CAPM^® Coach, have been approved by PMI to sit for the exam and have scheduled the exam within 3 caleandar days after completing the 3-week exam prep course. The second phase of the program is a three week guided self-study program where you spend 10 to 12 hours a week doing a set of prescribed activities that will ensure you can pass the CAPM^® exam. You can do the course faster and take the exam quicker if you'd like. You have to take the exam within 3 calendar days of completing the final exam and course.
We do not let people start the second phase of the course until they have their exam scheduled because students are required to schedule their exam in the Pre-Course and to take the exam within 3 calendar days of completing their three week guided self-study. We do this so that people go through the course and become CAPM^® certified.

Can you tell me if there is a downside to the accelerated CAPM^® program? For instance, do employees look at this method of preparing for the certification less favorably than a more traditional approach?

Since most people know how difficult this exam is - it is seen as a huge accomplishment to study for and pass the exam in three weeks. Our students report that it actually puts them a notch above the other people in their organizations who had to study for six months. And it should.
