Course Details

The course requires student select their own project (materials and supplies for the individual’s project are determined in the project plan and the responsibility of the student). You get access to the online portion of the program as soon as payment is received. The project selected should be one that can be completed in under 40 hours and the project needs to be “accepted” by your instructor as part of the course.

  • The course is designed so you first initiate and plan your project. Next, you execute your project plan to build or re-model. While you're executing, you do milestone reviews and measure the performance of your project by doing earned value analyses (again, you are instructed how to do this via the course Web site). You end the course by completing a final acceptance test (from your own scope and quality plan) and documenting your lessons learned.

  • You can do the course at your own pace. You have email access to your instructor and the course content for ten weeks. You have access to your personal completed project indefinitely.

  • In order to get credit for each course, you will have to complete all the activities to the satisfactory completion of your instructor.

  • For each module, we use our online accelerated Quality in Learning Model - Learn, Do, Check, Act. you learn the theory of the concepts presented in each module, you do activities to learn how to improve your project management skills and effectiveness in your work environment and update your Learning Schedule online, then you check in with your instructor by uploading your completed worksheets and Learning Journal where you report what you experienced to Assignment Central for review and feedback, and finally you reflect on what you learned by creating action plans describing how you're going to apply what you just learned to your next project.

  • In order to receive credit for the course, you will need to record the date and time you took to do each activity and record this in your online learning schedule. You will also need to upload all assignments to assignment central along with a learning journal with the results of your activities and the action plans of your learning for instructor review and feedback.

  •  We recommend you commit at least ten hours per week to completing this course. You should be able to complete the course and personally chosen project in sixty hours (less than a week if you work on it 10 hours a day), or you can spread it out over a period of ten weeks.   Since this is your personally chosen project, it will likely be an extra fun project, you'll likely complete it in far less than ten weeks.

We offer a 100% Learning Guarantee - If after successfully completing all the course requirements to the satisfaction of your instructor you feel you can’t use what you have learned we will refund your money.

We are IACET Certified (you can earn CEUs with our course) and a PMI® R.E.P. (you can earn PDUs with our course).
