The purpose of this instructor led online class is to have you bridge what you've learned
becoming PMP certified with implementing Project
Management best practices throughout an enterprise. You will learn how
to communicate with senior executives so they understand the project
performance improvements needed in your operation. You'll learn how to effectively
use the five PMBOK® Guide Project Management phases and nine PM knowledge
areas within the existing framework of your operation's practices and
processes. The course is targeted
to people who are already PMP's or who are on the path to becoming a PMP.
It includes many best practices templates for implementing Project Management effectively
throughout your organization. It also includes techniques for
assessing the best implementation strategies based on your organization's
and your industry's Project Management maturity.

For
each module we use our online accelerated quality in learning model -
Learn, Do, Check, Act. First you learn the step (the activity
described in each module), next you do what you learned in your own
environment, then you check in with your instructor by reporting
what you experienced by doing what you learned in your own environment,
and lastly you create your action plan of how you're going to use
what you just learned in your project management career.
-
In
order to receive full credit for the course, you will need to record the
date and time you took to do each activity and record this in your online
learning schedule. You will also need to send all assignments
to Assignment Central, along with a learning journal with the results
of your activities and the action plans of your learning, for instructor
review. In this
journal, please also log the time you spent doing each activity.
-
We
recommend you commit at least five hours per week to completing this
course. You can complete course in thirty five hours (less than a
week if you work 7 hours a day on it), or you can spread it out over a
period of seven weeks. The activities though are based on
researching existing best practices in your operation and available in
your industry so it is recommended that you take a full seven weeks to work
with the material. You do have access to the course material and
instructor for ten weeks in the event you have vacations or other
commitments.
