What is the format for the Cheetah Project Management Certificate for IT Professionals Program?

• You access the course material and interact with your personal IT project management mentor and coach online.
• You do the course activities to learn the project management concepts for IT projects related to your work.
• Our online course format is easy to use and provides all the worksheets and examples you need to document your course progress and communicate with your instructor.
• The course is comprised of ten modules with several activities per module.
• Each module uses our Online Accelerated Quality in Learning Model - Learn, Do, Check, Act. 

First, you learn the theory of the concepts presented in each module.  Next, you do activities to improve your effectiveness in your environment and update your Learning Schedule online.  Then you check in with your instructor by uploading your completed worksheets including your "Learning Journal" to report what you experienced to Assignment Central. Finally, you reflect on what you learned by creating your action plan describing how you're going to apply what you just learned to your IT projects at work.

How long have you been offering courses online?

• We have successfully used this approach for learning since 1995.

What type of Equipment do I need?

• You will need an internet connection and access to a computer to download the course material in the software shown below.

What software do I need to complete activities?

• Our courses use common document types:  Microsoft Word Document , Microsoft Excel Document , Adobe Acrobat PDF and Microsoft Project .  We will ship to you a copy Microsoft Project Version 2002 Step by Step by Carl Chatfield, et al. which comes with a demo CD to use during the program and includes a 60 day free trial of the software. 

How long do I get to complete the course?

• You have up to three months to complete all the course activities.

• The program is designed to be completed in 80 hours. You can complete this program as fast as two weeks if you have an IT project you can complete in two weeks.

• We recommend you take at least two months to do the course activities.  

• We recognize that you may be juggling a career and family life as well, so we give you up to three months to complete all the course activities. 

What if I need an extension?

• If you need an extension to finish this course, you can purchase an additional week for 1/4 the list price of the course.  Simply send an email to your instructor and s/he will put you in touch with a customer service representative who will take your credit card information to process your extension fee.

How can I register?

• From our home page (www.cheetahpm.com), select the Project Management Certificate for IT Professionals under Certificate Programs to register.  You will have the option to select credit card or pay by check option. You can also register by telephone at 1-800-246-9106.

What are my payment options?

• We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, personal or company checks.

• It is best to pay by credit card (using our secure server) so you can begin right away.

• If you wish to pay by check, register online and select the pay by check option. You will receive an invoice via email which you can use to help prompt payment back at your company or at home. Check payments should be mailed to the remittance address on the invoice. Upon receipt of payment, you will gain access to the course materials and we will ship your course text books.

How and when do I get access to my course?

• Once payment has been received, an e-mail will be sent to you with the course link, login information, your instructor's name and e-mail address.

• You gain access to your course and online instructor the date your payment is received and processed.

What are Cheetah's Credentials?

• International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET) Certified (you can earn CEUs with our courses)

How do I register my courses with PMI®?

• Once your online instructor feels that you have successfully completed the certificate requirements, you will receive an email to complete an online evaluation.

• Upon completing the online evaluation, your course certificate will be available to view/print from your My Cheetah account under the transcripts tab.

• The course certificate will have all the information you need to report your PDUs to PMI®.
