Learn how to get what you want FAST.  In this course, you learn and practice fast and effective Cheetah negotiation strategies and tactics. You learn strategies where all parties benefit from the interaction (this is one of the keys to getting what you want fast).  You  use what you learn to improve your day to day effectiveness in a wide variety of negotiations - from dealing with subordinates, co-workers, bosses, merchants, attorneys, and customers.   It includes a negotiation styles assessment that will help you understand your negotiating strengths and challenges.

I was initially skeptical about taking an on-line course like Cheetah Negotiations. I found the course and learning experience to be one of the best. The part I found the most valuable was to understand what my strengths and weaknesses are in the negotiation process. I have already used some of the techniques outlined in the course and they have been very effective.

Chuck Rath, Project Manager

Learning Objectives

  • Know your innate negotiating strengths and how to leverage those based on the strengths and weaknesses of those with whom you're negotiating.

  • Know how to set the stage for a successful negotiation.

  • Be able to navigate through the twists in turns common in many negotiations to bring it to a successful resolution.

  • Understand the contractual elements used to solidify agreements arrived at in negotiations.

Course Details

  • The course includes a self-assessment that will determine your innate negotiating strengths and weaknesses.   It is based on the work of Barbara Barron Tieger and Paul Tieger, authors of Do What You Are.

  • You can do the course at your own pace and you have access to your instructor and the course content for eight weeks.

  • In order to get credit for each course, you will have to complete all the activities to the satisfactory completion of your instructor.  Click here to download and review our online grading rubric.

  • For each module we use our online accelerated quality in learning model - Learn, Do, Check, Act. First you learn the step (the activity described in each module), next you do what you learned in your own environment, then you check in with your instructor by reporting what you experienced by doing what you learned in your own environment, and lastly you create your action plan of how you're going to use what you just learned in your project management career.

  • In order to get the full credit for the course, you will need to keep a learning journal with the results of your activities and the action plans of your learning. In this journal, please also log the time you spent doing each activity.

  • We recommend you commit at least five hours per week to completing this course.   You can complete course in twenty hours (less than a week if you work 5 hours a day on it), or you can spread it out over a period of eight weeks.   The activities though are based on trying out various negotiating strategies and tactics in your own environment so it is recommended that you take the full eight weeks to work with the material.

  • If you would like a free poster for your office or meeting room on how to prevent conflict and improve your abilities at day-to-day negotiations click here to download now.

  • We are IACET Certified (you can earn CEUs with our course) and a PMI® R.E.P. (you can earn PDUs with our course).
