Discover Accelerated Project Management: "The Project Accelerator" Course
As we all know, implementing Project Management is simple when your project involves only you. Enlist the help of
four or more co-workers in the project, and effective Project Management often becomes anything but effective! Even the most proficient
PMP®s and their project teams can become bogged down, off track, over budget, and unsuccessful.
While a Research Scientist in Systems Engineering for United Technologies, Michelle
LaBrosse, CEO Cheetah Learning, developed, tested, refined, and launched a unique methodology for “accelerating” Project Management. This distinctive methodology is universal and has been used by Project Managers in various industries, projects, and functional disciplines to get their projects started, keep them on-track, and complete them successfully on-time and often under budget.
From Kinkos to Pepsi, it works!
Realizing that 75% of polled PMP®s reported that they desired these types of effective, simple-to-apply Project Management methods, templates, and tools to complete their projects in their day-to-day work,
Ms. LaBrosse felt compelled to put her successful "accelerated project
management” techniques and methodology to use in print and in the class room.
With the recent release of Accelerated Project Management, HNB Publishing 2002, Cheetah Planning, an affiliate of Cheetah Learning,
launched their new course, “Accelerated Project Management”. Nicknamed "The Project Accelerator Course," APM is unlike any other Project Management seminar available. This 100% hands-on seminar teaches new or experienced Project Managers effective ways to launch projects fast, manage projects and project teams effectively, and fix hemorrhaging projects!
The course is not a way to learn Project Management quickly, nor is it a day-long lecture in Project Management theory. Rather, it’s a seminar that empowers Project Managers to “accelerate” their own projects in their day-to-day workplace as soon as they get back to
work. In fact, it’s a seminar that's beneficial to anyone who works on or manages a project team,
offering cutting-edge techniques, methodology, and easy to implement concepts.
The one-day, 8 PDU course is now being offered at Cheetah Learning Centers around the
United States for $395.00, and will soon be introduced in India and Canada. We can also arrange on-site courses for groups of
fifteen or more.

VSSI brings Cheetah Learning’s Accelerator Course for the
PMP® to India
VED Software Services Inc (VSSI) is an IT Consulting and Services company based in Farmington Hills, Michigan. VSSI has branch offices in India, Canada, Singapore, and Japan. As a major diversified activity, VSSI has collaborated with Cheetah Learning to conduct Project Management training programs in accordance with the
PMI®-PMP® methodology.
VED Software Services, Inc. launched Cheetah Project Management seminars in India and Singapore during March, 2002. The seminars were conducted in the southern part of India
in Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad. During the launch, Michelle LaBrosse, CEO of Cheetah Learning, unveiled her
new book, Accelerated Project Management, at a press conference in Chennai. In the same month, VSSI also launched Cheetah Learning’s
PMP® seminar in Singapore.
Mr. Gary Rao, Director of PMO, organized PMP® training programs in India for several IT organizations in June
of 2002. The response to the course was overwhelming, and pass rates on the exam were above 90%. Based on these initial success stories, VSSI has received inquiries from several Indian
corporations to enroll qualifying employees into future programs, and is now equipped to address the
need for high quality training in India on a regular basis.
Sampath H.S., President and CEO of VSSI says, “India has a great need for PMP®s, as a large number of projects that Indian corporations are tapping abroad will require them to appoint
PMP® certified professionals. Many multi-national companies who are likely to come to India
would also require this as a necessary qualification in the field of Project Management. From the individual point of view, Indian professionals in IT and other areas across the world already know the
value that the PMP® certification brings to their resume. This segment of professionals are known to keep abreast, and in fact
ahead of, the industry needs in man-power skills. As such, there is great potential to train Indian Project Management professionals to acquire the PMP® certification, both at the corporate and individual levels.”
What is VSSI’s main objective in launching Accelerated Training for the PMP®? “To add value to the
customer, corporation and the employee," Sampath H.S. avers. "As Indians go global and work with global and multi-national companies, it
is essential that every corporation embraces PMI® methodologies and have certified
PMP® professionals. Then, and only then, will Indian companies be able to compete locally, as well as globally”.
Currently, VSSI is an Authorized Education Provider for Cheetah Learning as well as a
PMI® Registered Education Provider.
One day Accelerated Project
Management - Customized just for you
By now you've likely heard about Cheetah Planning's one day Accelerated Project Management course that is currently being offered at the Cheetah Learning Training Centers.
But have you heard about Cheetah's customized one day APM course? Pepsi Research, located in Purchase, NY, sure has!
Several times per year, for the past couple of years now, Cheetah descends on Pepsi's grounds to teach Accelerated Project Management-- Pepsi Style!
Similar to the public APM course, the Pepsi version involves a day-long team-based product launch simulation. Participants learn practical techniques and tools to launch projects fast, and have a good time simulating a product launch meeting to make "Freeze-Dried Pepsi."
This past September, Cheetah had the opportunity to teach this course to
nineteen additional Pepsi employees. Word around Pepsi Research about APM has spread fast!
We have also customized the basic APM course for other companies in the biotech and IT industries.
Just as with our public APM course, participants in the on-site customized courses can receive 8 PDU's for completing the course.
To find out more about how Cheetah Planning can customize a course for your company, please contact Jen Hirsch, Director of Marketing, at jen@cheetahlearning.com, or (800) 246-9106 or (203) 459-1287. You can also find information on the web, at

Feature PMP® of the Month
Each month Cheetah News features a newly certified PMP®, who shares his or her ideas, insight,
and experience with potential PMP®s considering certification.
Matthew Tutino, PMP
Matthew Tutino is in the banking and brokerage industry, and has been
involved in IT Project Management for the past six years by working in various
brokerage firms. He took and passed the PMP® exam on January 17th of this
year. As a consultant, Matthew found it important to keep himself
current and to remain "ahead of the curve". Part of that process was
to become certified in his field - as quickly as possible. The Cheetah Learning
method provided him these results, and more. "After doing my due diligence, I found
that Cheetah Learning offered the best program to insure that I would be fully prepared to take the PMP®
exam," Matthew states. "The fact that their success rate is well over 95% says a lot." When
asked to offer words of wisdom to potential PMP®s, Matthew says, "Take this course. It’s well worth the
money." With advice like that, ringing true to Matthew's own experience,
how can a potential PMP® go wrong?Currently,
Matthew holds the position of Technical Project Manager in a bank, giving him an in- depth knowledge of what it takes to build the Infrastructure
for many different areas - for example, Internet, Intranet, and Mainframes.
