Why did we Create the Sales and Marketing Accelerator System? We are project management specialists. Last year we were using an integrated media promotional campaign to launch our new training product - a fast, and innovative Accelerated Project Management training program. We had to coordinate the tasks and the timing of a variety of marketing and sales activities. We also had to determine, and determine fast, the most effective and efficient ways to promote our product. We wanted to learn which target markets were the fastest decision makers, which mediums were the most effective at reaching each target market, and which messages worked best for each target market. We realized early on that our computer based project planning tools, our computer based calendar management system, and our computer based contact management tool, while keeping us very efficient with each individual task, made it very difficult to see the big picture and organize our overall effort. Even with all our computer based coordination tools, our team was not coordinated and at times was working at cross-purposes to each other. Based on the visual project planning method we teach in our Accelerated Project Management program, we came up with a unique system for first managing our promotional tests, then later used it to organize our ongoing product promotional efforts. This technique helped us work smarter. Now we work less, and produce better results. When we were doing our promotional test, we needed to try a variety of different marketing messages in direct mail to various target markets. Since we were doing very small print runs, we talked with our neighborhood Kinkos about setting up a billing system for us so we would be charged the higher order quantity pricing for small print run jobs. While out to lunch with the Kinko's Corporate Account Manager for our neighborhood store, we explained to him what we were doing. He was intrigued by the idea and wanted to learn it. We literally spent less than two hours to teach him the technique. He set up our visual planning system, started doing his own promotional campaign test. In one month, increased his sales by 36%. Kinko's hired us to roll it out to the other stores in the region. We're now offering this product to others. We call it the Sales and Marketing Accelerator System - because we noticed by planning fast, we started to sell our products faster. We developed a toolkit so it is easy for people to learn and use this fast and effective system. We have an online course for people to get four weeks of coaching to use their system for their products with their markets. We also have a four hour experiential course where people leave with their Sales and Marketing System customized for their unique products. The Sales and Marketing Accelerator System is an accelerated planning tool that is not computer based. We've used a number of accelerated learning techniques to make this an easy to learn tool for improving sales.
