In this 35-hour online course, you learn how to assess your current energy usage, ways you can cost effectively and efficiently reduce your energy usage without making significant lifestyle changes, various alternative energy options that are right for your situation, and implementation strategies for your own energy self-sufficiency program that will help you create a more secure future. This course can be taken alone or as the first part of our Project Energy Professional certification program that will demonstrate to future clients and employers that you have the requisite skills to lead energy improvement and renewable energy projects. This course is designed for people who may not have a deep technical background to quickly grasp and apply the concepts. - Energy Options – There are numerous alternatives to how you power your life and your business. In this module, you learn those alternatives that make the most sense for you based on your specific needs, situation, and site location.
- Implementation strategies – You will learn how to implement an energy self-sufficiency project that includes how to do payback analyses to determine the most cost-effective choice, how to leverage favorable legislation and incentives in your region, and how to finance your project. You will leave this course with a very well-thought-out plan on how you can become more energy self-sufficient.

What is the format for your online programs?
- Our online program format is easy to use and provides all the worksheets and examples you need to complete the program.
- Each module uses our Online Accelerated Quality in Learning Model – Learn, Do, Check, Act.
The Online Accelerated Quality in Learning Model – Learn, Do, Check, Act
- First, you learn the theory of the concepts presented in each module.
- Next, you do activities in your environment by applying what you learned to complete the program activities.
- Then you check to be sure you have grasped the concepts in each module before moving on and updating your online learning schedule.
- Finally, you reflect on what you learned by creating action plans describing how you’re going to use your new knowledge to successfully manage projects in your work and personal life.

What type of equipment do I need?
You will need an Internet connection and access to a computer to download the program material and complete the assessment exams at the end of each module.
What software do I need to complete activities?
Our programs use common document types: Microsoft Word Document, Microsoft Excel Document, and Adobe Acrobat PDF.
What are my payment options?
- We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, personal or company checks.
- It is best to pay by credit card (using our secure server) to ensure immediate access to your program.
- If you wish to pay by check, register online and select the pay by check option. You will receive an invoice via email which you can use to help prompt payment back at your company or at home. Check payments should be mailed to the remittance address on the invoice.
Can I register and pay for my program now and start later?
You will gain access to your program as soon as payment is received. Please contact your Course Instructor once you’ve gained access to let him or her know you wish to start later.
How do I obtain my course completion certificate?
- Once you have completed all the course activities and passed the final assessment (if applicable), you will receive an email to complete an online evaluation. If you do not get this email you can find the link from your “MyCheetah” page under the Transcripts Tab.
- Upon completing the online evaluation, your course completion certificate will be available to view/print from your “MyCheetah” account under the transcripts tab.
What if I need an extension?
If you need an extension to finish this course you can purchase an additional week for 1/4 the list price of the course. Simply send an email to your online coach and s/he will put you in touch with a customer service representative who will take your credit card information to process your extension fee.
What course material do I need to complete the activities?
All material need for this course is provided online.
How long do I get to complete the course?
- You can complete this course in less than a week with 20 hours worth of effort.
- However, we recognize that you may be juggling a career and family so we give you eight weeks from the date you register to complete all the course activities.
What is your guarantee, cancellation and refund policy?
We offer a 100% Learning Guarantee. If after successfully completing all the course requirements to the satisfaction of your online instructor you feel you can’t use what you have learned, we will refund your money.
We provide very detailed outlines of what is involved with our program; therefore, once someone has commenced our program, we cannot give a refund. If after 48 hours of registration you decide this class is not for you, you can request a cancellation and a full refund will be processed if you have not accessed the materials. If you have accessed the proprietary materials, and you wish to cancel within 48 hours, we will be happy to apply the funds you paid to another Cheetah Learning course.
How do I register my courses and report my PDUs with PMI®?
Once your online instructor feels that you have successfully completed the course requirements, you will receive an email to complete an online evaluation.
Upon completing the online evaluation, your course certificate will be available to view/print from your My Cheetah account under the Transcripts tab.
The course certificate will have all the information you need to report your PDUs to PMI®.
How can I earn free or discounted training?
Cheetah offers a program called Cheetah Points – our way of saying “Thank You” to our loyal customers.
You can enroll through your My Cheetah page. Go to the student login and enter your email address and password. In the My Cheetah page, you can start referring people for courses.
Collect Cheetah Points and save on Cheetah courses. Each Cheetah Point is equivalent to $1 USD towards Cheetah courses, and you can earn as many Cheetah Points as you can accumulate!
Collect Cheetah Points by:
- Referrals: When the person you refer takes a Cheetah course, you earn from 10 to 50 Cheetah Points and the person you referred gets a $10 to $50 discount depending on the course they choose. (Not available in conjunction with other promotions.)
- Completing Courses Evaluations: You earn from 10 to 50 Cheetah Points depending on the course after completing our course evaluations.
Using Cheetah Points is easy – they are stored in our secure server. You will have access to your Cheetah Points at any time, either to see how many you’ve accumulated or to redeem them for course discounts from your My Cheetah page. When you register for any Cheetah course, after you’ve entered your contact information, you’ll be given an opportunity to confirm your registration and your available Cheetah Points will be displayed.
