Cheetah Scholarship Student Doubles her Income in Five Years
Michelle LaBrosse, CCPM, PMP, PMI-ACP, RYT
I had the great fortune to talk with one of the Cheetah Scholarship students – Carola Walker on Friday. She responded to a request to chat for our “undercover boss” event to hear from our Cheetah students what most inspired them about being Project Managers.
Carola received the scholarship for Cheetah’s Project Management Fundamentals program* from the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF) five years ago. She was a single mother then. She said “Cheetah’s program significantly changed my life and the lives of my children. I’m a science teacher and the rigorous scientific process you use to help people prepare and pass PMI certification exams is something I have now adopted in the way I design my project based science curriculum. I even used your learning techniques to reduce the effort, and improve my results with earning a Masters Degree in Project Management.” Besides being a science teacher, Carola is also a consultant on construction projects in her spare time.
Thank you Carola for sharing your story. I expect she is going to be even more successful in her career since she now has her sights on the PMP. I asked her plans for becoming PMP certified – she said – “Cheetah’s PMP Exam Prep” of course. Why mess with success?” What a go getter (and a go giver). Her success, enthusiasm, and drive inspires me even more to keep going for it with Cheetah Learning.
