Overview

The purpose of this course is to learn and practice facilitation techniques you need to know to effectively lead project teams. You will learn how to run effective team meetings, successfully launch a project in a one-day meeting, and facilitate project disaster recovery sessions.

You will master techniques that enable your project team to fully contribute, buy into the work required to complete the project objectives, identify and prioritize project requirements, establish the constraints, understand the business case of the project, develop a risk management strategy, identify and use best practices to create the project deliverables, define key project milestones, co-create the schedule based on deliverable dependencies, establish the costs and tradeoffs of the project budget, and take accountability for their responsibilities on the project. You leave with a facilitation toolkit that enables you to take a project team from confusion to consensus in a matter of hours.

What You’ll Learn

You then practice the techniques on your specific project applications. As in all our Cheetah Learning programs, we use accelerated learning techniques. You learn using multiple learning pathways that enable you to grasp the information quickly, apply it immediately, and retain it for the long term. Our Learning Objectives are for you to:

  • Use Cheetah facilitation techniques to bring a project team to consensus on key project planning components.
  • Run efficient and effective meetings, project launch events, and project disaster recovery sessions.
  • Develop commitment, accountability, and responsibility with project team members, customers, sponsors, and stakeholders.
  • Prevent the common pitfalls that slow down and derail projects.
