Candidates in the Cheetah Project Management Fundamentals Certificate program earn the Project Management Institute’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)® credential and develop the skills to competently and confidently lead projects of increasing complexity for their organizations, clients, and volunteer projects. <span”>Project Management is one of the top in demand careers, even in very tough economic times. This program is designed so candidates become CAPM® certified. They are given all the tools to prepare for the exam, including access to our world-class CAPM® coaches for four weeks (one week for Pre-Course and three weeks for the CAPM® Exam Prep Online course). They determine when to set aside the 10 to 12 hours of study time per week to successfully pass the exam after completing the program.

Start Date – You can begin the first course in series as soon as we receive full payment.
Duration – 85 hours – You can complete this certificate program in less than a month (85 hours). However, we recognize that you may be juggling a career and family so we give you up to six months (183 calendar days) from the date you register to complete all the courses in the series.

Course Material – To start Phase 2, Part 2: Cheetah Exam Prep® for the CAPM® (3-week) Online Course, you will need to have the items listed below. All other material to complete the Cheetah CAPM® Exam Prep Program activities is delivered online, including exams.
- A copy of A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge – Fifth Edition (PMBOK® Guide). If you don’t already have a copy of the PMBOK® Guide – Fifth Edition, we suggest you order a copy now. You can click on the text title above to order online, or you may wish to check your local bookstore.
- Colored index cards – 30 each of the following colors: gray, orange, blue, red, green, brown, tan, purple, yellow, and teal. If you are unable to find index cards in the suggested colors, you can use colored paper folded and cut, resulting in four cards per piece of paper.
- Colored markers to match the colored cards (gray, orange, blue, red, green, brown, tan, purple, yellow, and teal)

What is the format for your online programs?
- Our online program format is easy to use and provides all the worksheets and examples you need to complete the program.

- First, you learn the theory of the concepts presented in each module.

What type of equipment do I need?
You will need an Internet connection and access to a computer to download the program material and complete the assessment exams at the end of each module.
What software do I need to complete activities?
Our programs use common document types: Microsoft Word Document, Microsoft Excel Document, and Adobe Acrobat PDF.
What are my payment options?
- We accept American Express, MasterCard, Visa, personal or company checks.
- It is best to pay by credit card (using our secure server) to ensure immediate access to your program.
- If you wish to pay by check, register online and select the pay by check option. You will receive an invoice via email which you can use to help prompt payment back at your company or at home. Check payments should be mailed to the remittance address on the invoice.
Can I register and pay for my program now and start later?
You will gain access to your program as soon as payment is received. Please contact your Course Instructor once you’ve gained access to let him or her know you wish to start later.
How do I obtain my course completion certificate?
- Once you have completed all the course activities and passed the final assessment (if applicable), you will receive an email to complete an online evaluation. If you do not get this email you can find the link from your “MyCheetah” page under the Transcripts Tab.
- Upon completing the online evaluation, your course completion certificate will be available to view/print from your “MyCheetah” account under the transcripts tab.
What if I need an extension?
If you need an extension to finish this course you can purchase an additional week for 1/4 the list price of the course. Simply send an email to your online coach and s/he will put you in touch with a customer service representative who will take your credit card information to process your extension fee.

What are the guidelines for the CAPM® exam?
To pass the CAPM® exam, you must score at least 65%.
You may only take the exam three (3) times in any one year. If you fail three (3) times, you must wait one year before you apply for eligibility to take the exam again.
Where and when are the PMI® CAPM® Exams held?
The PMI® CAPM® Exam is held at Pearson Testing Centers around the world and throughout the year.
How soon after completing the CAPM® Exam Prep 3-Week course do I have to take the CAPM® exam?
You must take the exam within one week of completing the CAPM® Exam Prep 3-week course. The course is set up so people can easily do the 10 to 12 hours of the exam prep work each week and, after three weeks, successfully pass the CAPM® exam.
Does the cost of this program include the cost to take PMI’s CAPM® Certification Exam?
No, it does not include the cost of PMI’s CAPM® Certification Exam.
PMI and Cheetah Learning are separate organizations. Cheetah Learning provides the CAPM® exam prep course, but PMI provides the test.
PMI requires the exam application to be completed by the individual requesting to take the CAPM® certification exam.
What happens if I don’t pass the exam?
If you are unable to pass the exam on your first try, your online coach will create a personalized study plan to help you shore up your weak areas, guide you through the process of rescheduling your exam and can also extend your online course access for an additional three weeks.
The second exam must be taken within 30 days of the first exam.
We reimburse the PMI member fee ($150 USD) to retake the exam up to two times.
This guarantee is valid only for students who have completed the entire program in the time frame stipulated (completed the CAPM® Exam Prep Pre-Course within one week after starting, the CAPM® Exam Prep within three weeks after starting, have taken the exam within one week of completing the final exam in the CAPM® Exam Prep 3-week course).
If I don’t have 1,500 hours of Project Management experience, will the courses provided in this certificate program qualify for the alternative of 23 hours of Project Management training?
Yes – the courses completed prior to taking the CAPM® Exam Prep Course satisfy the 23 contact hours of PM training required by PMI’s CAPM® Certification Eligibility Application.
What does the CAPM® credential mean in the job market?
For people who hold the CAPM® credential, companies are assured that the person who is doing the role of “Project Manager” has passed a rigorous industry standard test regarding the basic knowledge necessary for the job of Project Management. The certification shows that you are committed to the field of Project Management.
How do I get the eligibility letter from PMI to take the CAPM® Certification Exam?
You can complete the eligibility application and submit it to PMI online on PMI’s website. You can either become a member of PMI or you can just apply for the exam. We recommend becoming a member first.
How long does it take to get the eligibility letter to take the exam?
It takes 8-10 days from when PMI receives your exam application to receive your eligibility letter. You can apply on PMI’s website.

You can enroll through your My Cheetah page. Go to the student login and enter your email address and password. In the My Cheetah page, you can start referring people for courses.
Collect Cheetah Points and save on Cheetah courses. Each Cheetah Point is equivalent to $1 USD towards Cheetah courses, and you can earn as many Cheetah Points as you can accumulate!
Collect Cheetah Points by:
- Referrals: When the person you refer takes a Cheetah course, you earn from 10 to 50 Cheetah Points and the person you referred gets a $10 to $50 discount depending on the course they choose. (Not available in conjunction with other promotions.)
- Completing Courses Evaluations: You earn from 10 to 50 Cheetah Points depending on the course after completing our course evaluations.
Using Cheetah Points is easy – they are stored in our secure server.
