  • What does it take to pass the new PMP Exam?

Since Cheetah started using Accelerated Learning techniques to  help people to pass the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) exam  Cheetah FAST in 2001, we’ve gone through seven exam format changes.  We are no stranger to PMI changing the PMP exam.

This exam change though was different as PMI expanded it way beyond their current Project Management Body of Knowledge to include hundreds of papers and other Project Management references.  We combed through PMI’s exam content outline and dove into the numerous references to create the Cheetah Pedia for Project Managers.  We created this for the exam content to be easy to assimilate and retain to improve instant recall on the PMP exam.

However, the Cheetah Pedia for Project Managers is not a stand alone document.  It’s only one part of Cheetah’s program that so far has helped every single person who followed Cheetah’s program to pass the new PMP exam on the first attempt.   The key words here are “followed Cheetah’s program.”  Now the majority of people who register for Cheetah’s program, follow the program.  Like seriously, why register for a class proven to help you pass the PMP exam, and then not follow the program?   But, yes sometimes, unfortunately, this happens.

We know what it takes to pass the PMP exam and we’ve created a program that helps people pass this new PMP exam as well.  It’s about making sure you know the current exam content, but it’s more than that as well.  It’s making sure you know the strategies to use and when and how to correctly apply them.  Cheetah students master this in just four days and are able to pass the PMP exam the next day.

One of the big questions we get -“But don’t I need to earn the 35 hours taking your course to fill out PMI’s eligibility application – how can I take the actual PMP exam the day after your course ends.”   While taking another PMP exam prep provider’s program, THEN filling out the PMI eligibility application is the standard progression,  that doesn’t make any sense to us.  Why spend 35 hours in a PMP prep class if PMI won’t even deem you eligible to take the actual PMP exam?   We help you complete PMI’s eligibility application in the “pre-course” BEFORE you start the Cheetah Exam Prep program.  This way if PMI does not think you’re eligible for the exam, you don’t waste any more time (or money) on prepping for an exam you can’t take.

Being eligible to take the PMP exam is the first step in passing the PMP exam.  We then take it from there in the four day class to make sure you can pass the PMP exam when you take it the day after your class ends.  We’ve been doing this approach since 2001 – it worked then and it still works   now (20 years later).

I’m taking online class through RedVector does this help?

    2. Never heard of them – not our practice to vet other PMP programs since ours is the benchmark for the indusry.
